The Grizzly Mini Wood Stove CB-2000 is our non-certified model for recreational spaces of approximately 200–400 sq. ft. It is also the recommended choice for smaller spaces used in winter, with poor insulation, or with ceilings higher than 7 feet.

Compare the Cub and Grizzly before planning your setup. These stoves are not approved for residential installation. Speak with your insurer before purchasing or installing; recreational and residential insurance requirements differ. Confirm local requirements and follow the instructions for your exact model.

Measures only 13" (Wide) x 15" (High) x 12" (Depth) ( 33.02 cm x 38.1 cm x 30.48 cm ).
If you remove the rail you have a cooking area of 6 1/2" ( 16.51 cm ) from the flue to the edge of the plate and 13" ( 33.02 cm ) side to side.
Measurements for the interior firebox: 6.75" (Depth) x 7.375" (Wide) x 7.5" (Tall) (17.145 cm x 18.733 cm x 19.05 cm).

Specifics

Requires a horizontal clearance of 14" ( 35.56 cm ) on the sides and 16" ( 40.64 cm) at the front of the room heater, without shielding and a vertical clearance of 40" ( 101.6 cm ).
Underside of stove must be shielded at all times.
For this non-certified setup, measure 3-inch flue-pipe clearance from the outside surface of the pipe to the combustible surface: 9 inches without shielding, or 3 inches with proper flue shielding. Shield the entire pipe run alongside the wall. Keep at least 40 inches from the stove top to the surface above; shielding does not reduce this overhead requirement.
The stove needs a complete flue system comprising of 3"(7.62 cm) flue pipe, 5"(12.7 cm) insulated pipe and exit kit NOT INCLUDED

Wood stove

Fantastic little stove! It looks great, draws well, burns well. I expect I'll learn how to keep a fire burning longer after I have had a few months to enjoy the stove.

Cubic Grizzly for small cabin- LOVE IT

Dont normally wrote reviews but love it so much, thought id share as Im about to get a second one!

Things I liked:

The ease of installation, the fact the the cubic grizzly was solid and well make but no so heavy that is was difficult to move and instal alone. (great clear instructions)

I liked that the company was Canadian and the product was Canadian made

Love the large window and seeing the flame (for aesthetics and also helps to know when to add more wood)

The size is perfect, with regard to heating a small space but also taking a decent size log and does not need contact stoking/attention once choked correctly (which is nice for overnight use)

Its small but powerful which is great here in the damp temperate rain forest of the pacific northwest as it really drys the air and saves having to buy an expensive dehumidifier

I loved the customer service, I felt like I was taking to a trades person who knew what they were talking about with regard to roof angles and measurement, rather than an AI robot which happens so often these days

I like that the clearance to walls are much smaller than other wood stoves, this frees up alot of space, as does the fact that it can be mounted on a wall, this made a great space below for wood storage. Great for tiny homes and small spaces

Dont make the mistake I made (typical guy!), make sure you read/follow the instructions and ensure you do a really good burn OUTSIDE before installing the stove so that you burn of the paint smell, I only did it for a few hours and must not have got it hot enough as it offgassed for a week or so.

superb craftsmenship

In the days of " everything is crap after covid" it is wonderful to see a well made product with superb craftsmanship. You can tell that a lot of thought and effort went into its production. Not only is it completely functional, it looks great too. Great job CUBIC. I highly recommend this if you are in the market for a small wood stove.

Came promptly

Purchased for our bunkhouse and have not yet installed so I can’t speak to usage yet but it came very promptly and extremely well packaged. Everything was secure and undamaged. All parts accounted for and appear to be well made and good quality. Looking forward to having it installed.
