Frequently Asked
Questions

What do I need for a complete install?

Any complete install will require a stove and flue system (typically a roof exit kit + flue piping). Other than that, you may opt for a mounting option and/or additional shielding if necessary.

Below is a definition of what each part does and below that is a walkthrough of the parts needed for a complete installation.

Alternatively you can build your order.

Normally a full set up requires:

Stove :
Cub (Cb-1008) or Grizzly (CB-1210)

Mounting option: Wall mount or floor mount:
We have 3 wall mounts: the standard (CB 2012-SS / CB 4012-SS), the sliding tray model (CB-2013-SS / CB-2213-SS), and the fresh air intake model (CB-2017-SS / CB-2277-SS).
**The sliding tray model has a tray that gets pulled out to catch any embers or ash that may fall on the floor.
**The fresh air intake model will replace the air used by the stove without the need to open a window.
**The standard model has neither a fresh air intake or a sliding tray.

**Floor Mounts (CB-2014 / CB-4010)
All wall mounts reduce clearances whereas the floor mount does not. However, the floor mount with rear heat shield does.
**Floor Mounts with rear heat shield (CB-2020 / CB-2220)
Mounts securely to the floor and reduces clearance from behind the stove.
Additional Shielding: Side shield or flue shield extension.
**Side Shield (CB-2016-SS / CB-2216-SS): If the stove is within 20" of adjacent surface then that surface must be shielded to reduce the clearances with the use of a side shield.
**Flue Shield Extension (CB-2015-SS-30 / CB-2215-SS-30) When installed within 9" of a surface the pipe should have shielding running up behind the entire run of the pipe. The extensions come in 30" lengths and the wall mount offers 37" of flue protection. So the extensions get added to cover any piping that is not covered by what comes with the wall mount.

Flue System:
The flue system is essentially 3 parts: The 3" double wall flue pipe (CB-3024-SS / CB-3012-SS), the 5" insulated pipe (CB-5024-SS / CB-5012-SS) and the exit kit to exit the piping outside (CB-6000-SR / CB-6001-SR)
**You need enough 3" pipe to go from the top of the stove to 1 foot above the highest point of the roof.
**The exit kit allows you to exit the pipe safely. The kit does not come with the 3" pipe and the 3" pipe runs through the insulated pipe that comes with the kit.
**You need enough 5" pipe to go from 2" below your ceiling to the same one foot mark above the highest point of the roof.

Accessories: Tool kit (Cb-3010), Mini roaster (CB-7200), Brush kit (CB-8253), or Eco fan (CB-800CAXBX)
** The Tool kit allows you to clean ash and manipulate the wood.
** The Mini roaster allows you to cook on the Grizzly like an oven.
** The Brush kit helps you clean the pipe.
** The Eco fan will help move the heat around the space.
